You are responsible for all content you post and for the security of your account.
4. Content Ownership and Usage
- Third-Party Content: Milestones Page aggregates and displays third-party content but does not claim ownership over it. While we make efforts to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any third-party content.

5. Privacy and Data Protection
We value your privacy. Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms, governs how we collect, store, and use your personal data. By using the Service, you consent to our practices regarding your data as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
We are committed to safeguarding your personal information and complying with all relevant data protection laws.
5.1 Data Protection and User Rights
Milestones Page complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Users have the right to:
- Access and obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about them.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Request deletion of their personal data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to any legal or contractual obligations.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, users can contact us at s[email protected].
5.2 Third-Party Data Processors
We may share personal data with trusted third-party service providers (such as hosting, analytics, and email platforms) solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving the Service. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and comply with applicable data protection laws.
5.3 Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as a user’s account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. Upon account termination or user request, we will delete or anonymize personal data unless we are legally required to retain it (e.g., for tax, legal, or regulatory purposes).
6. Third-Party Services and Links
Milestones Page may contain links to third-party services or content. These third-party sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Any interactions with third parties are strictly between you and them, and Milestones Page will not be liable for any damages arising from those interactions.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- No Guarantee of Service: The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your expectations, be uninterrupted, or error-free.
- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Milestones Page is not liable for any damages, including indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
- Security breaches or cyber incidents, including malware, hacking, or data loss;
- Service interruptions due to internet or hosting provider issues;
- Loss of content or data, whether caused by technical failures or user error;
- Legal claims arising from content you post or share.
Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service within the last 12 months.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Milestones Page, its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
9. Modifications to the Terms
Milestones Page may update or modify these Terms at any time. Any significant changes will be communicated to users via the Service. If you continue to use the Service after modifications, you accept and agree to the revised Terms.
10. Impersonation, Ownership & Parody Accounts
Milestones Page is a platform designed for real individuals to showcase their genuine achievements. We support personal projects, alter egos, characters, bands, and businesses—but only if you have the right to represent them.
By using the platform, you agree to the following:
- Only create Milestones Pages for yourself, or with the full knowledge and consent of the person, group, or entity being represented.
- You may create pages for bands, businesses, or characters—but only if you own, represent, or are officially involved in them. For example, if you’re an artist with a stage persona or a comedian with a character (like Barry Humphries’ character Dame Edna Everage), that’s welcome—as long as it’s yours.
- You must not create parody, impersonation, or fan accounts. That includes fictional characters, public figures, celebrities, bands, or brands you don’t own or represent. This is not a fan platform—it’s for documenting real, authorised achievements. This also means no satirical or impersonation pages targeting politicians, celebrities, or public figures, even if intended as humour or critique. If you didn’t create it and you’re not part of it, it doesn’t belong here.
- Consequences for violations: Any account that impersonates someone else or misrepresents ownership will be removed immediately. All submitted work will be lost, subscription fees will not be refunded, and your email and IP address may be permanently blocked from creating future accounts.
- Any defamatory, misleading, or harmful content may result in legal action by affected parties or authorities.
In short: Only post what’s truly yours. If you don’t have the rights or permission, don’t do it. Misrepresenting yourself on Milestones Page is a waste of time, money, and effort—and it will get you removed from the platform.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if we suspect that you have violated these Terms. If your account is terminated, you will lose access to the Service, and any active subscription fees will not be refunded.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved through arbitration or by the appropriate Australian courts.
13. Cyber and Data Liability Exclusion
Milestones Page is not responsible for any losses or damages arising from:
- Cyber-attacks, malware, or other malicious acts affecting your data or our system;
- Interruptions in internet service or utility outages beyond our control (e.g., cloud service failures);
- Breaches of data protection laws that involve third-party systems beyond our control;
- Loss, corruption, or inaccessibility of data stored in external systems not operated by us.
- Financial loss, reputation damage, or personal distress resulting from interactions with other users or third parties—including “vanity schemes” such as paid competitions, fake awards, pay-to-play showcases, or offers promising exposure or fame in exchange for money.
These exclusions reflect the limits of our insurance coverage. Please note that we do not carry insurance for cyber events or data restoration, and our liability is limited accordingly.
